My artwork is a collection of differently shaped and colored glass shards on a white cabinet door. I have a couple of differently colored circles glass rocks as well. They are arranged to show proportion. So that means that there are straight edges on the outside and odd edges of the insides. All of the pieces together create a rectangle. The process of creating my artwork was first of all finding the materials (Which was leftover shards from a different project and a leftover cabinet in the barn) then arranging and glueing them to my liking. I searched through and tried different pieces in different places until I thought it looked proportional. The big idea behind my artwork is the phrase "A place for everything and everything in its place." Keeping things organized and in place is my biggest way to handle anything that comes my way and I wanted to show that even though these shards seem chaotic, if they are put in the right place, they still are organized and they are proportional. My goal for this artwork was to make it proportional and to have organized chaos. My overall thoughts on my artwork is that I really like how I arranged everything. It was almost therapeutic and it was a fun project. I think it looks very good.
